Pregnancy Test

Pregnancy tests are very important to ensure one's pregnancy because all subsequent steps depend on the results of these tests. Pregnancy test helps one to measure the levels of certain hormones, known as human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), present in a person's urine. This hormone is produced when a fertilized egg in the uterus will take root and this usually occurs after six days of fertilization. HCG levels in the human bloodstream increases after fertilization of the egg. Pregnancy test enables a woman to know about the increased level of HCG in her bloodstream, generally a week after the expected time from the beginning of monthly periods.

Pregnancy Test Tool
A number of pregnancy test kits are easily available in the market and very easy to use. This tool involves collecting a urine sample to measure the level of HCG in the body of a person. It is good to collect samples in the morning when the hormone is pure. A pregnancy test kits contain strips which must be dipped into a urine sample. This tool uses a different method to show the sample results. While some show positive (+) or negative (-) sign to show results, there are others that show the lines of pink or purple to confirm pregnancy.

Sometimes the test may give negative results, although one was pregnant. In the event that someone should check the time or period or menstrual cycle regularity. It is also advisable to take another pregnancy test or visit a doctor for proper advice.

Chemical Pregnancy Test

In some cases, pregnancy test results may be inaccurate. This means that while the tests may show positive results imply the presence of HCG in the urine, the development of the egg may not be appropriate. This is basically because of a concept called "chemical pregnancy" in which the fertilized egg cell begins producing HCG but failed to develop further.

In the early stages of pregnancy, some signs of pregnancy such as tender breasts, fatigue, morning sickness, frequent urination can be easily seen. However, one can not rely only on the symptoms of pregnancy or a pregnancy test only. It is always better to take a pregnancy test to make sure someone even after the pregnancy test is positive or negative.

Pregnancy is a wonderful experience in a woman's life. So one should remain confident during his tenure and went to all the necessary tests. In cases when the initial pregnancy test was negative and you are experiencing some symptoms of pregnancy, it is better to consult with a physician and resolve all doubts.
